Privacy Policy

OTN is an ephemeral note-taking app for iPhone, iPad and Mac. Every note is created with a lifetime and is deleted automatically when its time runs out. This privacy policy explains what data the app handles and how your privacy is protected.

Overview

• Your notes are stored on your device and, if you choose, synced through your own iCloud account.
• The free iPhone and iPad version shows ads through Google AdMob, which may collect data to serve and measure ads.
• The Mac version does not show ads.
• The developer does not run any server, account system, or analytics, and cannot access your notes.

Your Notes

Notes you write are stored locally on your device. By design, notes are ephemeral: they fade and are deleted automatically when their lifetime ends, and released or expired notes are permanently removed from the archive after the retention period you choose. The developer has no access to the content of your notes.

iCloud Sync

iCloud sync is optional and available with OTN Pro. When enabled, your notes are synchronized across your devices using Apple's iCloud (CloudKit private database) under your own Apple ID. This data is stored in your personal iCloud account; the developer cannot access it. Apple's handling of this data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. You can turn sync off at any time in the app's settings.

Advertising (iPhone and iPad only)

The free iPhone and iPad version displays banner ads through Google AdMob, a Google advertising service. To serve and measure ads — including personalized ads — AdMob may collect and use information such as your device's advertising identifier (IDFA), IP address, and app interaction data.

The Mac version does not display ads and does not use AdMob.

App Tracking Transparency

On iPhone and iPad, the app asks for your permission before tracking, using Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework.

• If you allow tracking, ads may be personalized using your advertising identifier.
• If you decline, you will still see ads, but they will not be personalized.

You can change this choice at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

Google's use of data is described in Google's Privacy Policy and in Google's information about how it uses data from partner apps.

Purchases

OTN Pro is a one-time in-app purchase processed by Apple through the App Store. Payments are handled entirely by Apple; the developer does not receive or store your payment details. Purchase status is verified using Apple's StoreKit.

Support Contact

If you contact us through the support form or by email, we receive the email address and message you provide. This information is used only to respond to your inquiry and is not shared with anyone else.

Third-Party Services

The only third parties involved in processing data are:

• Google AdMob — advertising on the iPhone and iPad version, as described above.
• Apple — iCloud sync and in-app purchases.

The developer does not use any third-party analytics or tracking service and does not operate its own servers.

Children's Privacy

OTN is a general-purpose utility and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Data Retention

Notes are deleted automatically according to their lifetime and your archive retention setting. Uninstalling the app removes its local data from your device. Any data stored in iCloud is managed through your Apple ID.

Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated if the app's functionality or privacy practices change. The updated policy will be posted on this page with a new last updated date.
